Something's Not Right with This Picture

The room was filled with chatter as other patrons trickled in and located their tables. Usha spotted Janean and Toya seated by the window already sipping away. She negotiated the narrow aisles between tables carefully so as not to disturb the neatly arranged workspaces. Janean looked up to see her coming and jumped up to greet her. Usha warmly embraced her cousin and surveyed the canvas and art supplies spread out before her. She’d been looking forward to this outing for weeks. They all needed a moment to laugh and reconnect. However, Usha was slightly agitated. She’d reserved this table hoping for natural light, but today, like many days now, clouds covered the spring sky. Her brow wrinkled. She couldn’t remember the last time she saw the sun.
