Waiting on the Other Side
....as I cross over the bridge, I am mindful of the paths that I have taken thus far. I expect the roads ahead of me to be quite like the ones I’ve traveled in the past. I also expect that on this leg of my journey, I will navigate them differently. Having traveled over roads with unexpected dips, speed bumps, and potholes, tends to make one more finely attuned at spotting hazards that may lie ahead, unless you’re just reckless. And if I am being honest, sometimes the reward of getting there faster or the temptation to look away seems worth the risk. However, I’m wiser now. I have more information. I also have a better map.
