Make it Rain
The point of departure was not predetermined. His goal was to work at it forever. He wanted to turn the tide. Small successes initially emboldened him to step up his efforts. As the labored, he gained a faithful following but their loyalty rarely transformed into material support. It was naïve of him to think that would happen without establishing an emotional connection with his base. He felt that reason alone would be enough to hook them. After all, he reasoned, they shared the same interests. He failed to understand human passion. The intelligence of his argument would grab their attention. If he wanted them to open their wallets, he would have to tug on their heart strings.
